A Garota Não - Tigre II
”Tigre II” is the second song from A Garota Não’s EP “O Testamento do Tigre”
The EP revolves around the idea that when a man dies, it leaves the world to others - “quando um homem morre, deixa o mundo aos outros” - a sentence taken from Fiama Pais Brandão.
Each song is composed by a different band member and each video by a different animator.
TECHNIQUE
The process starts with wanting to experiment and mix new techniques, this case being rotoscoping and Unreal Engine.
A narrative appears from scale, having the bigger character as the millionaire/the man who dies, and the smaller people as the others/normal everyday people. Some background elements and effects help make the tiger motif appear throughout the video.
This video was done during my first months in Valencia, where I filmed people on the streets, gardens, and from my balcony.
Those recordings were rotoscoped and edited in After Effects. The big human character is a Metahuman generated and animated in Unreal Engine. Other 3D elements were animated in Cinema4D. The final project is edited in After Effects with some post-processing in Resolume.
